What programming languages are supported?

Blockly, Python and C# if you want to code directly on the robot. If you utilize the HTTP APIs, any language or tool that can issue HTTP requests can be used to program Misty.

Can I remote control Misty without the Misty Studio?

Yes, with Misty's HTTP API you can use your preferred programming language and interface like Microsoft Visual Studio to remote control Misty through HTTP requests.

Is the robot operating system (ROS) supported?

Misty does not natively support ROS however you can operate her as a ROS node through the HTTP APIs available.

What are the communication interfaces (e.g., USB, Ethernet, wireless)?

The robot utilizes USB, and 802.11 A/B/G/N/AC WiFi. The robot also uses Bluetooth LE during onboarding. As a developer, the primary interface is wireless.

What hardware and software support do you provide for troubleshooting for this platform?

We have community-based support for our customers. We do service the community Slack Channel and help customers where it is needed. If there are hardware issues, that would generally fall to customer service, and that robot would need to be replaced under warranty. For more in depth support, we offer consulting services on a time and materials basis. We maintain developer documentation for Misty online at docs.mistyrobotics.com.

What is your warranty plan for Misty?

Furhat Robotics, always acting on behalf of Misty Robotics, provides the original purhcaser with a 12 month limited warranty against manufacturing defects. Purchaser's sole remedy in the event of a warranty breaach is, at the discretion of Furhat Robotics, replacement or repair of the product. Furhat Robotics expressly disclaims all other warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
